Douglas
Koloski
November 20, 1943 – December 4, 2025
Douglas J. Koloski, “Doug”, son of the late John Koloski and Helen Koloski (Reynolds), of Red Bank, NJ passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025 surrounded by the love of his dedicated family.
Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Janet, his daughters, Courtney Kemler (Koloski), Meredith Koloski-Stack, son, Andrew Koloski, son-in-laws Dave Kemler and Maurice Stack, and daughter-in-law Kara Koloski. Doug also has a vast group of grandchildren: Wyatt, Beau, and Ruby Kemler, Gavin Wehr, Devyn, Camryn, and Liam Stack, Carsyn, Liam, Kayleigh and Eleanor Koloski. He was always on the sidelines of sports games and events to support his grandchildren to show how incredibly proud of them he was. He is also survived by all of the individuals whom he left such a positive and lasting impact on throughout his life- his dear friends and colleagues.
Born in Glencove, NY on November 20, 1943, Doug later moved to NJ with his wife, (whom he fell in love with soon after a blind date together!) where he resided, and became a textile salesman for Burlington Industries in NY, not far from where he grew up. His profession also included contributing to the first space shuttle for Grumman Aircraft which took incredible hard work and dedication that he tirelessly provided throughout the entirety of the project.
His colleagues could appreciate his optimism as much as his well-mannered spirit. Doug looked at life with a “glass half full” point of view, especially as a life-long NY Jets fan, where he’d always proclaim “they’ll do better next season!” Doug enjoyed golf, tennis, and baseball and would never turn down a chance to enjoy a sporting event. He was a truly dedicated individual, which shined through in every single thing that he did.
Doug will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and he will be remembered as optimistic, kind, positive, and always on the bright side of anything that life threw his way. The everlasting memories he bestowed upon his family, friends, and colleagues will continue to live on in remembrance of Doug, and will bring peace and comfort to them every single day.
